G4URH - Remote Control Your Radio

Just a little write up for you
Bob - G7JHW

I have been experimenting with remote control of HRD via the internet with fantastic results.

I have successfully operated HRD remotely with a laptop running Windows 2000 as the server and a laptop using Windows XP as the remote client.

The TX/RX audio is provided by either IP-Sound or Skype interface. IP-Sound Final is available from the G4URH download page. There will be a need to interface from the server laptop sound and microphone connections to the radio. This will connect to the radio equipment microphone input and audio/line output. On some radio equipment there are external connections for mic input and received audio/line located at the back of the radio. This is normally via a plug and socket.

A static IP address is also required and can be provided by a VPN service using Hamachi software. This is available for download at: LogMeln Hamachi - Download or you can download it from the G4URH download page.

Now I'm looking for solutions to the remaining issues:

1. Remote control of station AC power
2. Audio switching from multiple HRD controlled rigs

Step 1: Local Settings and configuration

Step 2: Remote Settings and configuration
